The Historic Huntsville Museum

The Historic Huntsville Museum

Our Historic Huntsville Museum in Harrison Brothers Hardware is Huntsville-Madison County’s first museum dedicated to sharing Huntsville-Madison County history from the perspectives of both Black and white residents. Our museum has received national recognition for our innovative projects that share the history of Huntsville’s freed men and women during the Reconstruction era (1860-1900).

The Historic Huntsville Museum is FREE and open to the public from 10AM to 5 PM, Monday through Saturday, in Harrison Brothers Hardware, a project of the Historic Huntsville Foundation.

More information about our museum can be found on our Historic Huntsville Foundation website.
